TERRESTRIAL FLASKS :
THELYMITRA (Thely.)(Sun Orchids)
Sun orchid flowers close at night. They open during
the day provided the temperature exceeds 20-30C. Contrary to popular belief
they do not need sunshine to open. Sun orchids are multiflowering and come in
every colour of the rainbow including the most beautiful blues. They have
vigorous root systems. Try to avoid hot wet humid conditions when the plants
are going dormant because this is a danger time for tuber rot. Flowers appear
in Spring and early Summer. Hybrids are free flowering and vigorous. Repot into
fresh mix soon after the plants go dormant each year. Use standard soil mix.
Price includes 3 tubers per variety.
