Grows and multiplies well but hard to flower. Likes a moist shady spot. 1-2 dainty red & white blooms in Sep. Many plants will flower if dormant tubers are put in a sealed plastic bag with a banana skin for 2 weeks and then potted up normally. Change banana skin each week. Ethylene gas used to ripen bananas induces flowering.
